Making homemade guacamole is a must in my house on game day. And the chunkier the better. Serves 4-6 Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
3 avocados, cut into 1/2-inch dice, divided
2 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced or 2 teaspoons dried cilantro, divided
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 Serrano pepper, finely minced (optional)
Salt, to taste
Tortilla chips, for serving
Directions:
In a medium size serving bowl combine 1 diced avocado, tomatoes, onions, 1 1/2 tablespoon (1 1/2 teaspoon dried) cilantro, lime juice Serrano pepper (if using). Fold in the 2 diced avocados and sprinkle on top the remaining 1/2 tablespoon (1/2 teaspoon dried) of cilantro. Salt to taste and serve with tortilla chips. Yum Yum!
